You heard me. The Auto 5 is about as far as you can get from HSLD and still have a semi automatic shotgun. I don’t care if the U.S. Military used them for various purposes (riot control, aerial gunnery training, etc) during World War Two, they’re just not “tactical” firearms.

What the Heck is Going
Jörg seems to be a man among men with this incredible rubber tube powered death machines. Most of his sling shots are actually incredibly neat with their but the tactical self defense model takes the cake. I’d have more to say but wordpress ate all my words.
What the Owner Said
“A lot of people call this the sickest slingshot that I have…”

What the Heck is Going
Yanno, not everything tactilol is a gun. Sometimes it’s a person’s web gear, other times it’s their every day carry. In this case it’s an entire damned publication. Yeah this is a rag that says it’s targeted towards ‘operators.’ What they forgot to tell you is most of their ‘operators’ are actually airsofters. Operator The Magazine is an attempt at fusing the airsoft community with the firearms community, which in my mind is an unsafe and rather stupid thing to do. (From my experience with the airsoft community, they treat real guns like their airsoft toys and have no concept of basic firearms safety. No they think they are the bees knees when it comes to shooting.)
On the very front of their magazine, their “Operator The Magazine” is a gentleman rocking his tactical airsoft kit with his tactical airsoft rifle. A true LARPer. (Oh never tell an airsofter they’re LARPing). They also sport a “REAL STEEL” review of a Saiga 12 shotgun because those needed another review on the Internet. Really guys?
Just check out how full of themselves they really are:
What the Publisher Said
“Founded by the original creator of U.S.A.S.O.C. – The Magazine, Nick Petrus, along with the assistance of a select few current and former military Special Operations “ol’ pals”, Operator Magazine provides some of the best insight into the latest gear, MISIM weaponary, tactics, events, loadout kits, team and retailer spotlights, and much more. Produced quarterly, Operator seeks to only provide the best for the best. Whether you’re being God’s death-dealer slinging lead down range or plastic back States’ side, we back all of you Operators 110%. Founded upon core principals of integrity, devotion, determination, and more – we here at Operator Magazine will give all you fellow Operators nothing short of the very best to help ensure you’re the most ironclad warrior possible. Now, do a flip-kick for freedom, download our issues, support our more-than-generous sponsors, and prove yourself as a true Operator.”
Just a quick shout out – One hundred years ago today is the day the M1911 was formally adopted by the United States military.
Following its success in trials, the Colt pistol was formally adopted by the Army on March 29, 1911, thus gaining its designation, M1911 (Model 1911). It was adopted by the Navy and Marine Corps in 1913. Originally manufactured only by Colt, demand for the firearm in World War I saw the expansion of manufacture to the government-owned Springfield Armory. – Wikipedia.
In celebration of 1911 day, here is a 1911 photograph.
I couldn’t decide if I should have sent this to Tactical Parachute for ridicule or if it belonged as a Firearms Fotos Fridays post. I’m pretty glad I went with the Firearms Fotos Fridays route since Tactical Parachute seems to have caught the death and had to miss out on this week’s Tactilol Tuesdays. I think he just slept through posting, but it’s not like we’re paying him.

What the Heck is Going
Again, people who live in states will do whatever they can to get as close to they can to the real thing, but they never do a good job of it. Miso Beno lives in Washington where things like “Short Barreled Rifles” are 100% illegal to own without an endless stream of paperwork and piles of money. The only way to get around the “NO SBR” BS is to build a “pistol” version of the product you wanted. Pretty much a pile of suck.
Well, with Miso’s gun he’s gone as ridiculous as possible without actually making anything useful. A giant Chinese light, an outlandish MARS laser sight, a 7″ barrel, and a Krinkov flash hider. What a nut. Even if it had a stock it would qualify for the tactilol.
What the Owner Said:
“Haters gon’ hate.”
The Components We Could Identify

Miso Beno is one of our writers, and a big tactilol dweeb.

What the Heck is Going On?
You know what the world needs more of? The world needs more Doppel Glock. Now, you might ask yourself – “What the hell is a doppelglock? Is that like a rooster doppelgänger portmanteau?” and though you would be awesome, but wrong. No. The Doppel Glock is an amazing firearms creation where two fully Glock 18 are linked by their light rails to share a common red dot and back up iron sighting system. The end result is too amazing for words. Just. Too. Amazing.
Nobody is allowed to hate this divine firearms creating sent to us from the heavens above. Nobody.
Thanks to Chrieger, my favorite Swiss reader, the gentleman in the photograph is Laszlo Tolvaj, the author of Schweizer Waffenmagazin which happens to be THE Swiss gun rag. A reader of EverydayNoDaysOff noted that the manufacturer of the Doppelglock is a Swiss firearms firm, Sigg Schurter. Neat.
