What we’ve witnessed these past few weeks/years isn’t as simple as a gun problem. No, the problem is far deeper than that. We’re witnessing what are, for the most part, elaborate suicides orchestrated by men who have simply checked out of society. They seem to want nothing more than to take as many lives with them as possible on their way out, and seem to be willing to invest the time and energy into thoroughly planning these actions out. The people engaged in these actions are angry, dedicated, obsessive, and suicidal. There simply isn’t anything we can do to stop them once they’re committed.

You heard me. The Auto 5 is about as far as you can get from HSLD and still have a semi automatic shotgun. I don’t care if the U.S. Military used them for various purposes (riot control, aerial gunnery training, etc) during World War Two, they’re just not “tactical” firearms.

What the Heck is Going

Yanno, not everything tactilol is a gun. Sometimes it’s a person’s web gear, other times it’s their every day carry. In this case it’s an entire damned publication. Yeah this is a rag that says it’s targeted towards ‘operators.’ What they forgot to tell you is most of their ‘operators’ are actually airsofters. Operator The Magazine is an attempt at fusing the airsoft community with the firearms community, which in my mind is an unsafe and rather stupid thing to do. (From my experience with the airsoft community, they treat real guns like their airsoft toys and have no concept of basic firearms safety. No they think they are the bees knees when it comes to shooting.)

On the very front of their magazine, their “Operator The Magazine” is a gentleman rocking his tactical airsoft kit with his tactical airsoft rifle. A true LARPer. (Oh never tell an airsofter they’re LARPing). They also sport a “REAL STEEL” review of a Saiga 12 shotgun because those needed another review on the Internet. Really guys?

Just a quick shout out – One hundred years ago today is the day the M1911 was formally adopted by the United States military.

Following its success in trials, the Colt pistol was formally adopted by the Army on March 29, 1911, thus gaining its designation, M1911 (Model 1911). It was adopted by the Navy and Marine Corps in 1913. Originally manufactured only by Colt, demand for the firearm in World War I saw the expansion of manufacture to the government-owned Springfield Armory. – Wikipedia.

I couldn’t decide if I should have sent this to Tactical Parachute for ridicule or if it belonged as a Firearms Fotos Fridays post. I’m pretty glad I went with the Firearms Fotos Fridays route since Tactical Parachute seems to have caught the death and had to miss out on this week’s Tactilol Tuesdays. I think he just slept through posting, but it’s not like we’re paying him.

Again, people who live in states will do whatever they can to get as close to they can to the real thing, but they never do a good job of it. Miso Beno lives in Washington where things like “Short Barreled Rifles” are 100% illegal to own without an endless stream of paperwork and piles of money. The only way to get around the “NO SBR” BS is to build a “pistol” version of the product you wanted. Pretty much a pile of suck.

Well, with Miso’s gun he’s gone as ridiculous as possible without actually making anything useful. A giant Chinese light, an outlandish MARS laser sight, a 7″ barrel, and a Krinkov flash hider. What a nut. Even if it had a stock it would qualify for the tactilol.
