Product Overview

The Heckler and Koch 416 carbine utilized an all steel, black, Teflon coated,  STANAG pattern magazine. These were designed to overcome some of the perceived failings of the traditional aluminum alloy STANAG magazine and include design features like an anti-tilt follower, low-friction Teflon coating, seam welded construction, and an all steel magazine body. One side effect of using a steel magazine body is the increased overall weight over the magazines aluminum and polymer counterparts. Like many HK products, the HK 416 and all products associated with the 416 project have enjoyed a considerable amount of demand in the United States even though the HK 416 magazine cost considerably more than most of it’s competitor’s products.
