FirearmFotoFriday: M1 Carbine in Ferns
I haven’t quite decided what I’m going to do with this section, but since I have a relatively large body of firearms photographs, I figure for now I’ll have a piece of my firearms work featured on a Friday. The photograph may be a brand new shot, something from my personal back catalog, or even one of my commercial pieces. All work shared in this and all sections on The Light Rifle are shared under the Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution-Non-Commercial-NoDerivs license (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0).
TactilLOL Tuesday – The Ruined Service Grade M1 Carbine
What the Heck is Going On?
Now we all know that firearms and alcohol are generally a poor combination. Beyond incidents that involve the negligent discharge of a firearm we often forget about the unseen dangers of operating hacksaws, rattle cans, and bottles of glue while in the presence of an unsecured firearm. Tonights Tactilol travesty has an almost happy ending. Almost.
Here we have what was an innocent M1 Carbine who’s “spare” stock has been converted into a mockery of our nation’s history. The intoxicated owner, hoytinak, decided that this particular rifle needed a flashlight, pistol grip, and a good helping of black paint. While, the rifle itself managed to get by without any irreparable harm thanks to hoytinak’s drunken foresight to ruin a spare stock instead of the original, what we have a example of a tacti-fudd meets military surplus.
Seriously, can you even reach the trigger using the pistol grip?
